Actually, I would tell him not to eat any of my food. You're not his mom. Unless, he wants to pay for 1/2 the groceries (and get an itemized list.)

New Roomie = setting boundaries.

This is an expense just like the electricity and the phone. Either roomie pays for half the food or roomie buys his own.

There will be no next time. This Thursday is Sausage and Jumbalaya (or however you spell it) and its mine! All 4 dishes of it for $5.
